Hey, would you look at that, it’s 2009. While a great many people are putting a great deal of importance on this new change, I’m of firm belief that the end of the calender year means very little other than a measured point.

Of course, it hasn't actually snowed in Virginia...
That measured point, the end of one defined period and the start of another, allows us to chart things like growth. However, for me that growth is really marked around sometime in the beginning of September.
September marked the point where I really started working at my new job, as the first week or so at any new job is an extended introductory period. September is also when I started pouring content into this website, having accidentally separated out my older content.
Since September I have learned that I do, in fact, love my job. I also have done fairly well at keeping up with my website. I’m finally back on track to filling my own particular online niche and that’s resulting in me being read all over.
But I’m not doing that. I’m not doing a year in review. Those are tacky. No, I’m simply stating that now that December is over, the quasi-writing holiday break is over. And now it’s time to start pumping out content again.
I guess what I’m trying to say is: September is the new January. That puts the rest of the world about four months late.
