What Do I Want For Christmas?

So, Christmas is a scant three weeks away, and my mother is starting to get frantic. It seems I’ve gotten so used to recession living that I seem to have lost the ability to “want.” So, I figured you all know me pretty well, and you’re all forward-thinking snappy dressers with impeccable taste in movies, music, and books, why don’t you tell me what I want for Christmas?

a hemingway tee? baking pans? new pants from h&m that aren’t hulked out from your huge calves? just a few thoughts.

@Cristina – clothes typically aren’t a good idea (but gift cards are). Baking pans would be helpful.

I’ve also had Margaret Atwood’s “The Blind Assassin” recommended to me.

oh yeah, and for the high rollers, bookers.

Cash money? Figured you’d want to make it rain at some point in your life.

  • P. Bradley Robb

@Ana that would probably be the most welcomed gift. But who wants to use Christmas to pay their bills?

  • Ana

Why in the world would you use Christmas money to pay bills? I was thinking ladies and booze, maybe a feather boa?

  • P. Bradley Robb

@Ana did you just put a feather boa on your Christmas list?

  • Ana

    Guilty. They’re soft n stuff…::shrugs::

I have to say I’m in the same boat when asked what I want for xmas… um, nothing? Cash?

My mother asked if there were any magazines we wanted. She then answered her own question, “I guess you can get any magazine you want from the library.” Pretty much.

I buy almost all of my clothes at the thrift store. I don’t need THINGS. The only thing I REALLY want is a macro lens for my camera, and at $600 I don’t think that’s going to fly.

    Cash. It’s the only answer…

    :-)

    Cheers!
