So the project that is affermato was supposed to be a two-week, quick and done project. That was in March. Here we are in October and it’s not yet in private beta. Why, you ask? The answer is that both Lamonte (the developer, Chuck D) and myself (the promoter, Flavor Flav) have hectic lives that see us staying one step ahead of the real world.
I did speak with Lamonte yesterday, and we had a nice chat about the future of the ‘mato, a future that’s closer that you might believe. Truth be told, neither of us has had time to work on it recently. But changes are afoot that will have both of us rescheduling our lives to try and get affermato.com in private beta by October 20th, and hopefully in public beta a few weeks after that. My goal is to be public release date.
Some of you might be asking yourself, “Well, that’s great, what the he [explicative deleted] is affermato?” And for you I have written quite a few blog posts. You can find them all on the affermato blog. Posts answer a lot of your questions.
What is affermato? Why? And most importantly, how can I trust this program with my private information?
I know there are a couple other questions I should probably answer. And those will be answered in the coming weeks as we move towards the private beta, and then public beta, and on towards the general launch.
Don’t worry, though it might look like vaporware at this point, affermato will not remain in beta forever. Looking at you, Gmail.
