My notes

Similar to the first book in the series, this one also took a while to click for me. Despite being set in the arguably the same space as the first entry, the world is rather changed. The plot is twisty and takes a while to unfold - it's a non-obvious structure that makes sense at the end. The opposite of a mystery box.
