My notes
A mostly fine, decades late half remake/half sequel to the original film. Not one of Ridley Scott's most inspired pieces of filmmaking.
One thing that bothered me, mostly after the fact, was that I don't think the protagonist "learned" anything other than to forgive his mother's husband at the last moment. Other than that, he had a plan and was mostly a tool for someone else until the very last moment when he basically accepted his birthrite.
From a plot perspective, the story was fairly flat.
