My notes

Fantastic film. Deserves every bit of praise it still gets for telling the nuanced story of independence, dependence, love, friendship, and identity in a dystopian world.

Shockingly relevant and the hardest part to believe is when the Supreme Council is arguing that money should have been spent on welfare instead of the military. A lot of the visuals of the fully marshaled government forces using violence against protestors could still be ripped from the news.
